Purse With Three Interchangeable Flaps
Join Kim Fox, our Martha Pullen licensed educator and create a silk dupioni purse with three interchangeable flaps using your serger. This versatile bag has a matching lining and batting to give it a cushy feel.
The first flap has a crosshatch chain stitch design with color coordinated edge piping. Smocked serger pintucks give texture and dimension to the second flap. The third flap has a contrasting plaid silk dupioni ruffle around its edge and a crosshatch quilt design in the center. You will also learn how to create a buttonhole using your serger!
This class will meet for two sessions. In the first session you will create the purse with the ruffled edge and crosshatch quilt design. In the second session you will make the two additonal flaps and sew buttonholes on the purse.
