This Baby Lock Advanced Serger Techniques class is the third class in our Serger education series.  This class is open to those students that have taken our Introduction to your Serger class and are ready to learn more advanced and fun techniques.
 
This class is open to all Baby Lock Sergers taught in our introduction classes. At the end of the class we will focus on those that have an 8 thread machine and/or the wave stitch capability.

If you need to purchase any feet or binders, please allow the store three weeks to purchase.

Kim will be providing a kit with fabric, wire, and fishline.  Kit fee $5 is payable to Kim on the day of the class.  Cash only please.

Techniques to be covered for all machines:

• Wired ribbon
• Creating a Casing
• Fishline Edges
• Faux flat felled seams
• Serger smocking
• Attaching ribbing to a curved edge
• Wave Stitch Piping-(4 or 8 thread machines that have wave stitch)
• Stabilizing knits
• Serger Crochet

Additional techniques we will cover for 8 thread machines:

• Pintucks
• Chain Stitch Quilting
• Turn fabric strips into bias binding and attach it to project edges (knits and wovens)
• Belt loops
• Beading
