Edge-to-Edge Quilting in the Embroidery Hoop

This class is for owner of a Baby Lock or Brother top of the line embroidery machine: Baby Lock Radiance, Solaris, Altair, Meridian, or Destiny , or Brother Aveneer, Luminaire, Stellaire or Dream Machine who want to learn how to quilt using their embroidery machine.

This class will focus on "Edge-to-Edge" (or End to End) quilting which uses designs which start on the left and end on the right and are meant to connect. A simple edge to edge design will work best for this class as we will focus on using the machine's design placement features to stitch out and rehoop multiple times during the class. We will discuss preparing a quilt or quilt sandwich, choosing an appropriate quilting pattern, batting, hoop and thread.

The Radiance, Solaris Vision, Aveneer and Luminaire 3 all have built in Edge-to-Edge quilt designs, but the other machines do not and will need an edge to edge quilting design loaded onto a USB drive. Prior to class the instructor will email students suggestions for simple edge to edge designs and where to find them.
