Learn To Fit The Perfect Shirt with Susie Brown

This is a Palmer/Pletsch beginning fit class for fashion sewists.  Never have a fit disaster!  Follow our tips for tissue-fitting and altering the pattern before you ever cut it out of fabric.  The neckline is one that flatters most women by framing the face.  The vertical darts will accentuate your small waist.  No small waist?  Just ignore the darts!  You can even straighten the side seam to take the shape out of it.

The pattern is McCalls 6750.  There are three sleeves to choose from.  View A has a cut-in armhole, the most flattering for a sleeveless blouse.  View B has a cuffed 3/4 length sleeve.  View C has long sleeves with a wide cuff.

Class Requirements:
  • Pattern: McCalls 6750
  • Palmer Pletsch grid pattern paper or plain pattern paper
  • Cotton fabric for the shirt
